The Little Beaver Lions Club is dedicated to serving our community through volunteerism, compassion, and local outreach. We support a variety of causes including vision care, youth programs, local families in need, and community improvement projects and Beacon Lodge (a 500 acre summer camp for the blind and veterans)—making a lasting impact through service and generosity.

Our Mission:

Some Examples Of Our Projects:

  • Our fundraising efforts are powered by the heart and generosity of our community. From running the food stand at local polo games, bocce tournaments and Darlington Days, to hosting our annual golf outing, the Little Beaver Lions Club raises vital funds to support meaningful causes. Through the generous support of our community, we’ve contributed not only to local families and projects, but also to wider efforts like disaster relief, blindness research, and programs like Beacon Lodge that serve individuals with special needs. Together, we’re making a difference—near and far.

  • Each year, members of the Little Beaver Lions Club volunteer their time and energy at Beacon Lodge, a special camp for individuals with visual, physical, and other challenges. During our weekend there, we help with maintenance projects, prepare the camp for the season, and support the incredible mission of creating an inclusive, empowering environment for all campers. It’s one of the most rewarding weekends of the year, filled with service, teamwork, and purpose.

  • Through our Lion Listeners program, members of the Little Beaver Lions Club visit Blackhawk Intermediate School to help first graders build confidence as they learn to read. We also proudly take part in Read Across America initiative each year by donating a book to every elementary student in the district. It’s all about sparking a love of reading, one child and one story at a time.

  • The Little Beaver Lions Club is proud to host and support a variety of programs that bring our community together and give back in meaningful ways. From organizing blood drives and highway cleanups to maintaining a local cemetery with care and respect, we’re committed to service in many forms. Families look forward to our annual favorites like Pictures with Santa, Pumpkin Palooza, and the Fishing Derby, while trivia nights offer fun for all ages. Each event is a chance to connect, serve, and strengthen the community we love
